Faculty Position - Tenured/Tenure Track Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics (Georgia Institute of Technology)
The School of Physics of the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a faculty position in Atomic, Molecular and Optical (AMO) Physics and related areas in Quantum Information Sciences (QIS), beginning Fall 2020. Appointments at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be considered, depending on qualifications. Both experiment and theory candidates are sought in all areas of AMO science including but not limited to: quantum sensing, computing, devices, or technology. We will also consider candidates whose research uses AMO technologies or concepts with other physical platforms. The new faculty member will benefit from Georgia Tech’s existing strengths in cold atom physics, quantum condensed matter and quantum engineering efforts across the Institute. Successful applicants are expected to contribute significantly to both our research and our educational goals.

Faculty Position in Soft Matter Physics

The School of Physics of the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a faculty position in Soft Matter Physics beginning Fall 2016. The appointment is expected to be at the level of Assistant Professor, but Associate Professor or Full Professor appointments can be considered for qualified applicants. We are interested in candidates in theory or experiment who will enhance existing Soft Matter Physics efforts in the School. The new faculty member will also benefit from strong Condensed Matter Physics, Nonlinear Dynamics, and Physics of Living Systems research in the School, as well as broad Soft Matter research across the Institute. Successful applicants are expected to direct an active program of funded research and to teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
